The staff and players of Cumbernauld United would like to welcome fans both old and new to the new season 2008-09. It is a "new beginning" for the club with major developments on and off the field of play, including trials being held locally to attract the type of player who knows what it means to play for a club like Cumbernauld United.
A completely new squad has been assembled during the close season under the experienced eye of Manager Dennis Curran and Coach Junior, with the emphasis being on players who want to play for the club and who are proud to pull on the United jersey. The management and players are fully aware of what is expected this season - 100% commitment!
As with all new squads, it will take time to gel together, but from what has been seen on the park already, the team is gelling together quickly and the season ahead looks to be as exciting as it is promising.
